Door Supervision in London

The door is the first impression of your venue and often the point where problems are prevented. Good door supervision keeps entry orderly, supports your licensing responsibilities and sets a professional tone for the evening.

We take time to understand your venue, your customers and your licence conditions before proposing cover, so the approach on the door fits the way you operate.

Typical settings

  • Bars, pubs and late-night venues
  • Nightclubs and music venues
  • Restaurants with late licences
  • Private parties, launches and functions
  • Venues holding one-off or seasonal events

What the role can include

  • Managing entry, queues and capacity
  • Checking age identification in line with your policies
  • Refusing entry calmly and professionally where appropriate
  • Monitoring behaviour and de-escalating conflict early
  • Supporting your staff and responding to incidents
  • Assisting with safe and orderly closing and dispersal

Exact duties are agreed with you for each assignment.

What to consider before you enquire

These details help us propose the right cover. You don’t need all of them to get in touch.

  • Your licence conditions, including any staffing ratios or door requirements
  • Opening hours and your busiest periods
  • Expected capacity and the profile of your customers
  • Number of entrances and how queues are managed
  • Your ID, search and refusal policies
  • Whether cover is a one-off, regular weekends or ongoing

From enquiry to assignment

How it works

  1. Tell us what you need

Send a short enquiry with the location, dates, hours and type of security you have in mind. If you are unsure about numbers, we can advise.

  2. We review your requirements

We look at your enquiry and our availability, and come back to you with any questions.

  3. We discuss cover and a quotation

We talk through the proposed duties, staffing and hours, and provide a quotation.

  4. Everything is confirmed first

Details and arrangements are agreed with you before the assignment. An enquiry on its own is not a confirmed booking.

Door Supervision: common questions

How many door supervisors does my venue need?

It depends on your licence conditions, capacity, layout and the type of event. If you are not sure, choose “Not sure – please advise” on the enquiry form and we will discuss it with you.

Can you cover a one-off event as well as regular nights?

Yes, both can be requested. Tell us the dates and hours and whether the requirement is one-off or ongoing, and we will confirm what we can provide.

Does sending an enquiry confirm a booking?

No. An enquiry tells us what you need. We review it, discuss the proposed cover and quotation with you, and an assignment is only confirmed once the details have been agreed with you.

All services are subject to availability and the requirements of each assignment. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking; details are agreed with you before any assignment.
