Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information Heegan Security, based in London, collects through this website and how it is used. Heegan Security is the controller of that information.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the enquiry forms:

• Hire Security: your name, email address, optional phone number and organisation, the service you need, the venue or location, dates, hours, number of officers and your description of the requirements.
• Book an Operative: your company name, your name, email address, phone number, the role, location, dates, shift times, number of operatives and any further details you add.

Please do not include sensitive information, such as health details or information about criminal offences, in the free-text fields.

How we use it

We use your details only to read and reply to your enquiry, to discuss your requirements and, if we go on to work together, to arrange the assignment. Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to respond to your enquiry before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries. We do not use your details for marketing and we do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.

Where it is kept and who processes it

• The website and the enquiries sent through it are hosted on Microsoft Azure in the United Kingdom (UK South).
• Enquiries may also be forwarded to our business email account so that we can reply to you.
• To protect the forms from abuse, your IP address is checked briefly when you send an enquiry. We do not store it with your enquiry. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs for security and reliability.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for 12 months from when they are received and then deleted, unless the enquiry leads to an assignment, in which case we keep what is needed for our business and legal records.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are served from this website, not from third parties.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To make a request, use either of our enquiry forms (Hire Security or Book an Operative) and say that it is a privacy request. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
